Rob Bendy Plains PhysiotherapyRob Bendy – Lead Physiotherapist and Practice Partner

Rob qualified in 1991 from Manchester University and worked for 6 years in the National Health Service (NHS) before moving into private physiotherapy. After 5 years of working as an associate for another clinic, Rob was ready to run a business of his own. He joined Plains Physiotherapy as a full-time physiotherapist and partner in 2002 and hasn’t looked back since. Rob is passionate about the clinic and keen to provide the best treatments for his clients. He’s been on many post-graduate courses in specialist physiotherapy subjects to stay up to date and provide quality, evidence-based treatments.

Ann Bendy Plains PhysiotherapyAnne Bendy – Practice Management and Partner

Anne also studied at Manchester University and qualified as a physiotherapist in 1992. She worked in Bristol and Reading before heading up to Nottingham where she took a career break to raise the family. With the kids all at school, she joined Plains Physiotherapy as partner in 2007 and is a welcome asset to maintain the smooth running of the clinic.

 

Michelle Emsley Plains PhysiotherapyMichelle Emsley – Senior Physiotherapist

Michelle qualified in 2000 at Teeside University and started at Plains Physiotherapy in September 2007. Her main area of expertise is musculoskeletal conditions with a particular specialism in spinal conditions. Over the years Michelle has gained varied experience in the assessment and treatment of neurological conditions, women’s health (including pre- and post-natal conditions), paediatrics, orthopaedics and spinal conditions from working within the NHS. Alongside her NHS work she has several years experience in sports injuries having previously worked with Nottingham Forest football academy, Nottingham Rugby club from academy to the first team, British University Volleyball, English University Volleyball and civil service volleyball tournaments.

Eleanor Measures – Senior Physiotherapist

Eleanor is a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist. Since graduating from the University of Essex in 2008, she has worked within the NHS gaining a wide variety of experience, which enables her to treat both acute and chronic conditions. She has also worked with Notts County FC Academy assessing and treating sports injuries. Eleanor has a specialist interest in occupational health and wellbeing and has completed a number of courses including acupuncture, kinetic control and manual therapy.

Jamie Johnson – Senior Physiotherapist

Jamie qualified in 2011 from Manchester Metropolitan University and is a welcome addition to the Plains Physiotherapy team. Jamie currently works within the NHS and has experience of treating a wide variety of muscle, joint and soft tissue conditions in adults and children. Jamie is a keen cyclist and runner. As a result, Jamie has a specialist interest in treating sports and exercise injuries.

Rachel Keetley – Physiotherapist for children

After qualifying as a chartered physiotherapist, Rachel worked and gained experience in the different clinical areas of physiotherapy within the NHS before deciding to specialise in the assessment and treatment of children and young people. This passion for helping the younger generation has led her to set up Nottingham Children’s Physiotherapy, and she is our specialist in this area at Plains Physiotherapy. Andy Valentine – Physiotherapist for children

Andy qualified as a chartered physiotherapist at Nottingham University in 2009. He has specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy for adults and children in the last 4 years. He has worked with Nottingham Gymnastic Academy for the last 3 years and is now working with Rachel Keetley.

Craig Pitman – Massage Therapist

Craig has many years of experience in massage therapy, covering sport massage as well as corrective and deep tissue massage. He also offers complementary therapies like reflexology, hot stone massage and aromatherapy. Craig has a working background in nursing and studied with the International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapists (IIHHT). Jeremy Carnell – Massage Therapist

Jeremy is our sports massage and relaxation therapist. He has a wealth of experience working with several sports teams including Nottingham Forest Football Club, the British Canoe Union and the England Table Tennis Association. He joined Plains Physiotherapy in 2003.

Lynne is a long-standing and dedicated member of the team with knowledge in both accountancy and the health and fitness industry. Working alongside Anne, her skills and experience help to ensure the everyday smooth-running of the clinic.
